The Suffolk Department of Fire & Rescue's Honor Guard consists of 12 members forming in 1997. The Honor Guards responsiblilities consist of all Fire Department Funerals and Memorials, Southside Regional Fire Academy Graduations, all Suffolk Parades.  Also, the Honor Guard respresents the department at the Commonwealth of Virginia Fallen Firefighter ceremony held at the State Capitol in Richmond, and the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmittsburg, MD. at the National Fire Academy.
